چکیده
Abstract Introduction Serum lipids and metabolic diseases, in particular type 2 diabetes (T2D) non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), predict the atherosclerotic diseases coronary artery (CAD) peripheral arterial (PAD). Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate how far a more detailed characterization including serum improves discrimination PAD from CAD. Method A cohort 274 statin-naïve patients with either (n=89) or stable CAD (n=185) were referred screening characterized using nuclear magnetic resonance- liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry based advanced lipid lipoprotein analysis. Results validated an independent 1239 We found significant difference T2D prevalence ceramide-based profile between patients. However, neither cholesterol-based markers (including LDL-C, HDL-C) profiles nor LD status differed significantly (figure). remained also after adjusting for body composition, smoking, inflammatory parameters, T2D. Conclusion conclude that differ status, but not other characteristics diseases. Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

Association of the CETP TaqIB Polymorphism with Coronary Artery Disease in Type 2 Diabetic Patients
Abstract Background and Objective: Diabetes mellitus is the most common risk factor for coronary artery disease (CAD). Cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) TaqIB polymorphism is associated with changes in lipid profile and may be a risk factor for CAD in patients with diabetes. This study aimed to evaluate the association of CETP TaqIB polymorphism with CAD in...
متن کاملThe Association of Glomerular Filtration Rate with Coronary Artery Disease in Type 2 Diabetic Patients
Objective: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and diabetes mellitus can influence coronary artery disease (CAD) independently. The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and CAD in type 2 diabetic patients (T2DM). Materials and Methods: This cross sectional study evaluated 3624 T2DM patients with clinical presentation of CAD whose documents were registe...
متن کاملPeripheral Eosinophilia and History of Allergy in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease
Background: Coronary artery diseases (CAD) is the most common cause of death in the developing counteries. Atherosclerosis is the leading cause of CAD. A number of studies have shown that total leukocyte count is a risk factor for CAD but there is little information on the role of eosinophilia and allergy. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between eosinophilia and histor...
متن کاملEvaluation of iron status in patients with coronary artery disease
Background: Iron can causes lipid peroxidation in vivo and in vitro. Iron promotes myocardial injury in experimental animals. Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation by oxidants including iron have a central role in atherosclerotic process. By this means, evaluation of serum iron in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) has a significant importance. Materials and Methods: In this cross s...
